Eleuthero, also known as Siberian Ginseng, is a small woody shrub that is native to Northeastern Asia and has a long history of use in Chinese medicine. The roots are used in medicines or turned into extracts and are commonly sold as a dietary supplement, it's generally advertised as Siberian Ginseng though its not related to "True" Ginseng. Eleuthero is traditionally used to nourish and strengthen the kidneys and spleen, balance vital energy and used to invigorate chi, also known as qi (energy). This plant has many more uses in traditional medicines, Eleuthero is known to improve symptoms of diabetes by improving blood sugar levels, blood lipid levels and insulin usage for people with type-2 diabetes.
