Nepalese MadHoney (aka Deli Bal) is in stock!
Hanging over cliffs with handmade rope ladders, honey hunters in Nepal risk thier lives to gather this mildly intoxicating honey.
What makes this honey extra special (besides the incredible flower flavor) is the rhododendron flowers the bees use to make it. Because the bees pollinate these special flowers, the end product contains grayanotoxin, which has psychoactive effects even in small amounts. The honey is hailed for its helath benefits and has been used for centuries as an aphrodisiac and for gastrointestinal issues, mood enhancement, diabetes, and hypertension, not to mention the psychological effects and possible benefits from the psychoactive component.
Although reported deaths caused by MadHoney and grayanotoxin in general are very few and far between, at high doses there is significant increased risk of overdose. It is not recommended that you eat more than 3 tablespoons of MadHoney in a 24hr period, and these 20g pouches are well within the safety range. They are also unlikely to cause any significant impairment, however we do not recommend operating any vehicles or machinery woth 8 hours of taking it. Also if you are pregnant or nursing please, do not eat MadHoney. If you have any concerns about eating Madhoney, please consult your physician. Do not combine with alcohol or other drugs.
