Red Clover is a short lived perennial plant that is native to Europe, Northwest Africa and Western Asia but can now be found growing worldwide. This flower is often used by bee's and bee keeper's alike to produce high quality honey. Clover honey is commonly used as the standard to judge the quality, taste and aroma for other types of honey. Traditional medicines use red clover flowers for a variety of treatments such as symptoms of menopause and hot flashes, premenstrual syndrome, high levels of cholesterol, indigestion, asthma, bronchitis and weak or brittle bones.
