Astragalus is commonly used in eastern medicines to protect and support the immune system, help treat kidney disease, lowering blood pressure, treating diabetes, preventing colds and upper respiratory infections, treat heart conditions, and protecting the liver. Astragalus has many anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, people will often rub medicines with astragalus onto their skin to treat wounds.
